Learning Dutch with humor and games

We practice the language in everyday situations. We make jokes and laugh with and at each other. Lots of humor, never boring!

Lessons include practical exercises, games, songs, videos, and roleplays. My students quickly feel comfortable and confident to speak freely.

With a tailor-made training program, you’ll learn Dutch in a fun, educational, and engaging way.

I’ve been working with Sarah for the last two years, and she’s been amazing at helping me get comfortable speaking Dutch. She always keeps our lessons interesting and adjusts the learning style and materials based on my needs and goals. I really look forward to our lessons—they’re always fun and super helpful!

Learning Dutch with Sarah was a wonderful experience!
As a non-Dutch-speaking parent, I truly appreciated her friendly and encouraging teaching style. She makes the lessons fun, practical, and easy to follow. Thanks to Sarah, I feel much more confident speaking Dutch in everyday situations. Highly recommended!

Beginner (A0-A2)

You’ve never taken Dutch lessons before or maybe only very briefly.

In these lessons we start with practical language, such as introducing yourself, making an appointment, shopping, asking for and giving directions, and much more. Very soon, you’ll be able to have simple conversations—with ease!

Intermediate (A2-B2)

You already speak some Dutch, but now you want to take a real step forward: expanding your vocabulary and speaking more confidently.

In these lessons, we go deeper, especially with a focus on speaking. When speaking, there’s less time to think—people are looking at you, waiting. So, what do you want to say? We’ll practise how to respond more quickly, while using good pronunciation and correct grammar. And here’s a tip: listen carefully to the question and reuse the words from the question in your answer. Make it easier on yourself—listen well!

Advanced (B2-C2)

You manage just fine in Dutch, yet you’d like to feel more at ease in conversations

A lot of people think your Dutch is great—but you don’t always feel that way. In these lessons, we’ll help you feel truly at home in Dutch. We’ll build your confidence by working with materials that suit your interests and experience. That could be anything: we might discuss a news article you recently read, or a good film you’ve seen. Maybe something happened at work that you want to talk about, or you want to rehearse a presentation you’ve prepared. Looking for a job and preparing for interviews? We can practise that too. In short: these are tailor-made lessons!

Private lessons

In a private lesson, everything revolves around your learning process. You decide what you need, and you receive immediate, personalized feedback. Have you heard, read, or experienced something that raises questions? Feel free to bring it up – we’ll address it right away during the lesson.

Lessons can focus on language, but also on Dutch culture, art, history, politics, music, or everyday customs. Everything is possible – as long as it helps you learn, understand, and grow.

Ask any question you like. Nothing is off-limits. This lesson is all about you.

Duo lessons

You can also sign up together with your partner, a friend, or a colleague. In a lesson with two people, a fun and dynamic interaction arises. You learn from each other — and from each other’s mistakes. Between lessons, you can discuss the homework and lessons together, or talk about things you’ve experienced on the street, at work, or at your child’s school playground.

Plus, you save money: you share the cost of the lesson — and that makes a difference!

Group lessons

Prefer learning with friends, colleagues, or neighbors? Great! Group dynamics are energizing. Roleplay real-life situations like ordering coffee at a café or asking for directions. Or play games like ‘What would you take to a deserted island?’ In the group, you’ll have to reach a consensus — so get ready to discuss! It’s fun, engaging, and super effective — you’ll be speaking Dutch before you know it!
